Finswimming Team Komet
Sport club
Finswimming team Komet was established in 2011 and it is based in Zagreb (Croatia). Its main activity is finswimming, especially competitions and sport training. In 2016 Komet won the 1st place in the Croatian national championship for Clubs. Its members Adrijan Omićević and Kristijan Tomić qualified for the finals in three disciplines in the World Finswimming Championship. 2016 and Tomić won a silver medal, which are the best results for Croatian finswimming so far. Komet currently has 43 active athlete.
Komet is currently implementing EHPARP Erasmus+ Collaborative Partnership (Enhancing Health and Physical Activity Rates through Pentathlon, link) project in which it has a partner role. The project started in January 2020 and it will last for 30 months. It is coordinated by L’Orma ASD from Italy. In 2018 Komet was the coordinator of a small collaborative project Aurora (Aurora – Sport. School. Life., link), a 24-month project in partnership with Italian and Swedish partners. Aurora was dealing with good governance and dual career and one its main results is a set of learning materials which will also be available in the frame of the interactive e-learning platform that will be developed in frame of the proposed project.
