Taekwondo club Jastreb

Taekwondo club "Jastreb" in 2020 marks its 29th anniversary through its work and activities in the western part of Zagreb. During this period, TKD Jastreb became one of the leading TKD clubs in the city and the country by its quality and number, through which thousands of exemplary members passed, as well as a hundred categorized athletes of the Croatian Olympic Committee, many of whom were inscribed in the history of Zagreb and Croatia taekwondo sports.

The club is under the professional guidance of the club's coach and general secretary prof. Tamara Pradegan, holder of the Black Belt of the Taekwondo Federation 7th DAN. Together with numerous professional coaches, the club has been working with children and adults in the western part of the City of Zagreb for many years. Numerous volunteers contribute to the quality of work with the youngest in the club with their selfless giving.

Taekwondo Club Jastreb is the leading club in the country by the number of its members, and with its results in men's competition, it is the most successful taekwondo club of the country and the city of Zagreb, as evidenced by 24 TEAM WON NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, 32 TEAM WON CHAMPIONSHIPS OF ZAGREB and IN 2017, TKD JASTREB CLUB TOOK THE TITLE OF EUROPEAN CLUB CHAMPIONS IN TAEKWONDO SPORT.

The club gives special importance to the young generation, in which more than 400 boys and girls, from preschool to senior age, are included in the club activities.

The area in which we operate is particularly exposed to the effects of vice on young people (drugs, alcohol, violence, nicotine…). Through many years of systematic work and education of children and young people, through sports, we direct them to the right and healthy path, far from all the vices of today. We are the organizers of numerous HUMANITARIAN ACTIONS that have supported many individuals and organizations. Traditionally, for the 22nd year in a row, we have organized JASTREB OPEN - CUP OF THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA - the largest international humanitarian taekwondo competition, which brings together over 1000 youngest competitors from Croatia and abroad, within which donations collected from registration fees are donated to humanitarian purposes.

The club organizes summer and winter camps for many years, through which by socializing and sharing sports experiences, as well as through educational lectures by various experts (nutritionists, physical therapists, sports psychologists, doctors), participants gain and disseminate new insights from different fields.
