APEFDP - Association of Physical Education and Sports Professionals of Porto is a non-profit association that seeks to encourage the implementation of actions and measures to promote physical education and sport, through interactions with municipalities, associations, sport agents, schools, clubs and private and public bodies, within the community, by promoting training for teachers and sport coaches, awareness, sports debate, daily exercise and physical activity as well, as high performance, through the provision of technical, human and financial resources.

The main objectives of our Association are:

Promote sport and, inherently, physical activity, at local, regional, national, and European level and among all citizens.

Sport coaching education, technical directors, physical exercise technicians, certification of Schools and Universities for training activities in the field of sport, higher education courses in the field of sport;

Promote sports practice and the possibility of experimentation.

Providing adequate conditions for quality sports practice, developing social values.

Contribute to the improvement of physical and motor skills, which in turn improve the quality of life, in terms of self-esteem, social interaction, social integration and health.

Improve the national sports culture.

Promote gender equality, the social inclusion of the disadvantaged population or ethnic minorities and the integration of people with disabilities in sports.

Promote the ethics in sport, sport diplomacy, sport innovation, fight against Racism, xenophobia, and violence through sport, match fixing, doping and dual career.
