Zeugma Gençlik ve Spor Kulübü Derneği

The ‘Sof Dagi Genclik ve Spor Kulübü Dernegi’ non-governmental organization was established on 30th September 2005 by a group of youth workers. We are a non-profit ESC accredited organisation that actively implements activities related to human rights, equality, justice, diversity, solidarity, preventing hate speech & extremism. Our organization plays major roles in the projects where hate speech preventing and free speech topic are at the core of the project activities. Our organization played important roles in such projects on both locally and globally. The main target group of our activities is local children & children with a refugee background, also socially and economically disadvantaged young people aged 15-35. From the very beginning, one of the main aims of our organization was to encourage youngsters to practice sport and do various social activities.

We organize swimming classes, water polo, modern pentathlon, and underwater activities for children and teenagers to promote a happy & healthy lifestyle. Our staff & international volunteers are acting as a support team for the professional swimming coaches. We provide local youngsters with diving lessons and encourage them to participate in the swimming tournaments. The Sof Dagi is a board member of the Turkish Underwater Sports Federation, the Turkish Swimming Federation, and the Turkish Pentathlon Federation.
