Capoeira Corpo Fechado

Capoeira Corpo Fechado is a non profit cultural and educational association founded in 2018 and based in Athens, Greece.

The overarching goal of the organization is the cultural education through the development, cultivation, and promotion of Capoeira as well as other forms of art and sports.

This is achieved through the following objectives:
- A more specialized acquaintance with the art of Capoeira, the assimilation and refinement of various types of movement arts, coming from all over the world, with special emphasis from Brazil and other Latin American countries as well as Africa.
- The use of the art of Capoeira as a tool for individual empowerment and personal development through the matrix of a cooperative and inclusive community.
- The development of the cultural and social consciousness through contribution to social work as well as through the organization of various events and meetings, of educational or social character, such as for example capoeira seminars, concerts, exhibitions and performances, excursions etc. The participation of its members in all forms of events, like scientific, social, cultural, political or recreational, and the development of social solidarity between them.
- The exchange of cultural views and experiences as well as the cultivation of cooperation between the members and also with other cultural associations, unions and organizations of all kinds.
- Participation in state and European programs, always with the aim of promoting art and cooperation with all educational and intellectual institutions and organizations in Greece and abroad for the enlightenment of the general public and the activation of social solidarity, under scientific, pedagogical and psychological basis.
